We want to know! Create a video that shares your article, your expertise, and your passion, and you may be among 6 winners selected by our panel of judges to receive a prize bundle in the mail.
How do I enter?
We are asking you to share a short video (30-60 seconds) on Twitter which tells us more about a research project whose results were published in the ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces Family. In order to be eligible, you must be a listed author on the article.
Videos can be animations, recordings of you and colleagues, experiment footage, the explanation you give to non-experts about what you do, or all of the above.

By entering the #MyACSAMI Prize Draw, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
The promoter is: ACS Publications, whose registered office is 1155 Sixteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036, USA.
The Prize Draw is open to any individual over the age of eighteen (18) (19 if in Nebraska or Alabama; 21 if in Mississippi) who is a listed author on an article in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces OR ACS Applied Bio Materials OR ACS Applied Electronic Materials OR ACS Applied Energy Materials OR ACS Applied Nano Materials OR ACS Applied Polymer Materials (“Entrant”).
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Prize Draw.
To be eligible for the Prize Draw, each Entrant should post to Twitter all of the following:
- a 30-60 second video describing their research article
- the DOI or URL for the article published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces OR ACS Applied Bio Materials OR ACS Applied Electronic Materials OR ACS Applied Energy Materials OR ACS Applied Nano Materials OR ACS Applied Polymer Materials
- the hashtag #MyACSAMI AND tag the handle @ACS_AMI.
Entrants must also be following @ACS_AMI.
Only one entry will be accepted per author, per article. A thread of tweets may be created if the character limit does not allow all requirements to be in a single tweet. Multiple entries from the same person about the same article are disqualified. Authors listed on more than one article in the above publications may submit one video per article.
All entries must be received before midnight EST on Sunday March 14, 2021. After this date, no further entries to the Prize Draw will be permitted. No exceptions.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Prize Draw and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s reasonable control. Entrants will be promptly notified of any changes to the Prize Draw by the promoter.
The prize is: One (1) long sleeved sports shirt with ACS AMI logo per winner. There will be 6 selected winners in total.
To the extent permitted by law, the prizes are supplied “as is” with no express or implied warranty.
Winners will be chosen from the pool of eligible Entrants by a panel of 6 judges as selected by ACS Publications on Friday March 20th 2021 at 5pm EST.
Only winners will be contacted. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, ACS Publications’ reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be delivered.
If local delivery of any prize is unavailable or not possible, we reserve the right to cancel that winning entry and redraw a replacement winning entry. Please allow at least ninety (90) days for delivery of the prizes, unless otherwise stated. Entrants are responsible for the usefulness and accuracy of all delivery-related information.
The winner agrees to the use of their name, image and likeness by ACS Publications in any publicity material relating to the Prize Draw, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to Entrants will be used solely in accordance with applicable international, federal, and state laws and will not be disclosed to a third party without the Entrant’s prior consent.
Entry into the Prize Draw will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to ACS Publications and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the ACS Privacy Policy found at https://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/privacy.html.
Employees of ACS Publications, or its affiliates, and employees of any agents or any third party associated with the administration of the Prize Draw are not eligible to participate in this Prize Draw.
No bulk, third party or automated entries will be accepted or those submitted via macros or similar. ACS Publications may refuse entries, decline to award any prize, or seek its recovery, in the event of an Entrant's fraud, dishonesty, or disqualification under these terms and conditions.
ACS Publications accepts no responsibility and shall not be liable for entries that are lost, delayed or rendered invalid due to incorrect participant data, lack of network coverage, system, software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its reasonable control. Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, and illegible or otherwise defective are disqualified.
ACS Publications reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it reasonably believes, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to violate the spirit or letter of these Terms and Conditions.
ACS Publications decision is final as it relates to all winning Entrants. No exceptions.
